(Alpharetta, GA – November 11th, 2011) Another Best Dessert Atlanta event has come and gone.  This season’s event, held on November 5th at The Portfolio Center, brought a new twist as top caterers from around the city went head to head, bringing their best desserts to compete for the title of “Best Dessert Atlanta Top Caterer”.  Emcee Brenda Woods led the esteemed panel of judges which included Adam Hickman from Cooking Light, Chef Christina Weems, Chef Lisa Smith, CBeyond CEO Jim Gieger, Valerie Hoff of 11Alive News, top food bloggers Tami Hardeman, Christina Arpante, and Kathleen McNeill, as well as 200 of Atlanta’s finest Sugarotti.

A fundraiser for Adoption Discovery, the Venza Group proudly sponsored the event. Recognized as the Southeast’s leader for custom learning solutions, the Venza Group gives back to the community each year by hosting and sponsoring an annual charity fundraiser.  Best Dessert Atlanta 2011 marked their 4th annual charity fundraiser.

This year’s event was a smash success: Judges tasted carefully (sometimes more than once!) and cast their vote for their favorite.  It was a close competition, but at the end of the night only one could walk away with the coveted title of Best Dessert Atlanta.  As for the sponsors and guests, all were able to walk away with a thoroughly contented sweet-tooth and the satisfaction of knowing they were able to provide much-needed support to Adoption Discovery.
