The World Champion will WIN a Full conference registration to HFTP‘s HITEC Dallas 2021, plus two hotel room nights during the dates of the event. HITEC Dallas runs September 27-30, 2021 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

The InfoSec Invitational is a serious game. It is a competitive challenge that tests the understanding of information security.

Questions will be generated from the following topics:

Email Hygiene
Data Protection Basics
Protecting Credit Card Information (PCI DSS)
Protecting Personal Information (for GDPR, CCPA and Other Privacy Regs)
Identify Thieves and How They Operate
Systems, Vulnerabilities and Vendors

The InfoSec Invitational will be a tournament that culminates in a World Championship where two geographical regions compete for global domination. The Americas vs. Europe.

Players will represent a hotel, hotel brand, and/or hotel group.

As an “invitational”, players must be nominated by an executive leader (e.g. CIO, VP of Technology, etc.) of the hotel, hotel brand, and/or hotel group that they represent.

Player eligibility requirements are as follows:

Must currently work as an IT Managers (or an equivalent position)
Must be employed at a hotel (on-property)

Based on the location of the hotel at which they work, players will initially be separated into two geographical regions: the Americas or Europe

Judges

Two members of VENZA’s security team will serve as Security Experts and will judge the game proceedings.

A hospitality industry Celebrity Expert representing the “other” Region (i.e. a European representative during an Americas Region event) will audit the proceedings and offer a tie-breaking vote in the unlikely event of a dispute between the Security Experts.

Platform

Play will be done through GoToWebinar and the Kahoot gaming platform.

Purse

All participants will receive a Thank You gift for their involvement.

Winners from each region (i.e Americas, Europe) will receive travel to and two (2) nights accommodation at a selected Belmond property. The World Champion receives an additional F&B voucher along with the title of World Champion – Hospitality’s Best IT Security Manager.

HITEC Dallas 2021 – complimentary Full Conference registration, plus two hotel room nights during the dates of the event. HITEC Dallas runs September 27-30, 2021 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Hotel stay will be at a designated HITEC Dallas hotel, property determined by HFTP.
