Community Relations Specialist (aka Buzz Architect) Needed

ACCOUNTABILITY SUMMARY
The Community Relations Specialist (aka “Buzz Architect”) nurtures connections with individuals and organizations. Your main responsibility will be to plan, implement and analyze public relations and marketing strategies that advance the Venza Group’s mission to Build Productivity in Hospitality Worldwide. Projects may include event planning (i.e. open houses, sales events and fundraisers), the coordination of communications and the execution of community outreach communiqués. You will also be accountable for the management and utilization of social media.
OPERATIVE PRACTICES
Following are the day-to-day operative practices handled by the Community Relations Specialist (aka “Buzz Architect”). This function will be based out of our Roswell, GA location.
- Work with the Venza Group leadership team as well as company partners to accumulate industry-relevant information
- Coordinate with the Venza Group marketing executive and format industry-relevant information for publication in a variety of medium based on appropriateness (i.e. email, telephone, web, etc.)
- Call hospitality/retail industry professionals for the purpose of sharing industry-relevant information (20 calls daily)
- Introduce industry contacts in need of solutions to the Venza Group sales team
- Compile data on the Venza Group’s impact on the Hospitality/Retail Industry and analyze results
- Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in product developments and trade shows, or reading trade journals
- Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the Venza Group team
- Assemble marketing campaigns in coordination with the marketing executive
- Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
- Travel outside Southeast region (<15%)
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
- Supervised by marketing executive.
- Performs semi-routine duties where some judgment is required when communicating with customers, sales representatives, and inter-company personnel. Work is performed under defined and uniform procedures.
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
- Responsible for maintaining good customer relations. Generally deals with representatives and customers concerning matters that require some tact and resourcefulness. Contacts with other personnel including engineering and manufacturing departments.
REQUIREMENTS
- College Degree or equivalent
- One year in an entry-level marketing job
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills including being able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Demonstrated presentation, networking, and follow-up skills
- Possess the willingness to do what it takes to be successful while maintaining a high degree of integrity
- Reliable transportation
- (Preferred) Previous background in hospitality
COMPENSATION
- $25,000 Base Salary
