Today we discussed localization and the challenge of idioms for translation.

We made reference to:

• How our team develops training for hospitality worldwide.
• How idioms such as “All things to All people” may seem logical enough for North American ears, they can be quite puzzling to non-native English speakers.
• How writing narration for our interactive training with the knowledge that translation/localization of the training may take place (i.e. “in the cards”) will make the localization efforts easier.

We will discuss designing to the new layer of training intelligence for administrative reporting.
