10 Years of Giving, VENZA® Launches a Casino Cruise to Combat Human Trafficking
(Atlanta, GA – October 9, 2017) For a decade, VENZA has celebrated its success as a business by focusing not on the organization itself but on those in need. Exceeding $100,000 in fundraising over 10 charity benefits, these events have meant much-needed monies for non-profit organizations and a whole lot of fun for VENZA’s friends and family.
These autumn evening soirees have been an annual tradition for Atlanta-based organizations associated with VENZA. Given the company’s significant growth, including the establishment of its European office, this year’s 10th Annual Charity Event brought attendees from well beyond the Southeast to raise money for Hope for Justice, a global non-profit that seeks to end human trafficking.
To mark the special occasion of reaching double-digits, VENZA hosted a new kind of event—a Casino Cruise. Enjoying a gorgeous evening aboard a houseboat on Lake Lanier, located just north of Atlanta, attendees channeled their inner riverboat gambler at gaming tables while sipping cocktails. Under a cloudless sky, guests gazed at the setting sun while swaying to the jazzy grooves of the Emrah Kotan Trio. Below deck, delicious goodies were available to nosh.
“You only reach the milestone of 10 years once,” said Jeff Venza, VENZA President & CEO. “In addition to being a lovely way to spend the evening, we felt that hosting an event with a nautical theme was symbolic. The message we’re sending is that we’ve only begun to set sail and we’re thrilled to continue this journey. We welcome you to get on board with VENZA.”
As with years past, VENZA has other organizations to thank for making this event happen. Sponsoring organizations consisted of a veritable who’s who of hospitality-industry leaders: Protel, Danni Enterprises, INFOR, Hotel Interactive, Hotel Effectiveness, Netwrix, Centrada Solutions, Orion Technology, Borderhawk Cyber Security, Hospitality Upgrade Magazine, and Arnall Golden Gregory LLP. Through these sponsorships, personal donations and general participation in the event, VENZA raised more than $22,000.
“We thank the VENZA Team for bringing forward the issue of human trafficking to their community,” said Richard S., U.S. Team Leader. “They and the community of sponsors they assembled are making an incredible difference in the lives of so many.”
